Method
- Measure out the blue raspberry syrup and set it aside.
- Pour the crushed ice into your blender, filling it about halfway.
- Add the measured blue raspberry syrup over the ice in the blender.
- Pour in the fresh lemon juice to enhance the tartness and brighten the flavor.
- Secure the lid on the blender, then blend on high until the mixture is smooth and slushy, about 30-45 seconds. You should hear a crunching sound and see a vibrant blue mixture with tiny ice particles.
- Check the consistency; if it’s too thick, add a splash of water or lemon juice and blend briefly to loosen it. If it’s too thin, add a bit more crushed ice and blend again.
- Pour the slushie into chilled glasses, allowing the icy mixture to mound slightly above the rim.
- Serve immediately with a straw or spoon to enjoy the crunchy, cold texture that’s perfect for a hot day.
Notes
For a more intense blue color, add a drop of blue food coloring. Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of syrup.
