- Measure out the whiskey, simple syrup, and vanilla extract, then add them to the blender.
- Pile in the ice cubes on top of the liquid ingredients in the blender.
- Secure the lid and blend on high speed for about 30-45 seconds until the mixture is thick, slushy, and evenly icy with a smooth, velvety appearance.
- Stop the blender and check the texture; if it's too thick, add a splash of water or more whiskey and blend briefly again until you reach your preferred consistency.
- Pour the frozen whiskey slushie into chilled glasses, allowing some of the icy bits to create a frosty, inviting look.
- Garnish with a twist of lemon or a sprig of mint if desired, then serve immediately to enjoy the icy, velvety texture.
Notes
For a smoother texture, blend longer or add a dash more liquid. Using crushed ice makes the process quicker and yields a creamier consistency.
