- Juice the lemons using a citrus reamer or juicer until you have about one cup of fresh lemon juice. Set aside.
- Roughly chop the basil and mint leaves to help release their aromatic oils, then set aside.
- Add the lemon juice, vodka, and the chopped herbs into your blender jar.
- Pulse a few times to slightly crush the herbs and combine the liquid ingredients evenly.
- Add the ice cubes to the blender and secure the lid firmly.
- Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth, frosty, and with a slushy texture, about 30-60 seconds.
- Open the lid and check the consistency; it should be thick, icy, and well combined with visible herb flecks.
- Pour the slushie into chilled glasses and garnish with a small sprig of basil or mint if desired.
Notes
For an extra refreshing twist, rim glasses with sugar or salt before pouring. Adjust the sweetness by adding a touch of simple syrup if desired.
