Ingredients

  • 2 cups chilled cola (Coke) preferably cold from the fridge
  • 1 cup ice cubes add more for a thicker slushie

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cup

Method

  1. Pour the chilled cola into a measuring cup or bowl to prepare for blending.
  2. Add the ice cubes to the blender, creating a mound that covers the blades.
  3. Pour the chilled cola over the ice cubes in the blender.
  4. Secure the lid on the blender and blend on high speed until the mixture is thick, slushy, and evenly frosted, about 30-60 seconds. You should see a frothy, icy consistency forming.
  5. Stop the blender and check the texture. If it's too liquid, add a few more ice cubes and blend again for a few seconds.
  6. Pour the slushie into chilled glasses, allowing the icy mixture to mound up attractively.

Notes

For an extra burst of flavor, add a splash of vanilla or a twist of lemon before blending.
