  • 2 cups ripe mango chunks fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup ice cubes preferably crushed
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1-2 teaspoons honey or agave syrup optional, adjust to taste

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring Cups

Method

  1. Add the ripe mango chunks, ice cubes, lime juice, and honey into the blender.
2 cups ripe mango chunks, 1 cup ice cubes, 1 tablespoon lime juice, 1-2 teaspoons honey or agave syrup
  2. Secure the lid on the blender and pulse a few times to break up the ice and start blending.
  3. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth, thick, and frosty, about 30-45 seconds. You should see a vibrant orange color and a consistently icy texture.
  4. Stop the blender and check the consistency. If it's too thick, add a splash more lime juice or water and blend briefly.
  5. Pour the mango slushie into glasses, using a spoon or spatula to scoop out the icy mixture.
  6. Serve immediately with a straw or a garnish like a lime wedge for a refreshing finish.

Notes

For an extra tropical touch, add a few mint leaves or a slice of pineapple on top. You can also freeze the mango chunks beforehand for an even colder slushie. Adjust sweetness by varying the honey or agave syrup to taste.
