Ingredients

  • 4 cups ripe peaches, peeled and sliced preferably frozen for best texture
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed for bright flavor
  • 2 teaspoons honey or simple syrup optional, for added sweetness
  • 1/2 cup water or ice to help blend and chill

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Knife

Method

  1. Place the sliced peaches into your blender, ensuring they’re evenly distributed for smooth blending.
  2. Add the lemon juice and honey or simple syrup to the blender, balancing the natural sweetness of the fruit.
  3. Pour in the water or add the ice to help cool and thin the mixture.
  4. Secure the lid and blend everything on high until the mixture is completely smooth and frosty, about 30-45 seconds. It should have a thick, icy consistency that’s easy to sip.
  5. Stop the blender and check the texture—if it’s too thick, add a little more water; if it’s too thin, blend in some more frozen peaches or ice until it reaches your desired consistency.
  6. Pour the peach slushie into glasses, and optionally garnish with a slice of peach or a sprig of mint for a pretty presentation.

Notes

For a creamier texture, add a dollop of Greek yogurt or a splash of coconut milk before blending.
