Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cherry juice preferably unsweetened or lightly sweetened
  • 2 cups pomegranate juice fresh or bottled
  • 1 cup soda water for fizz
  • 1/2 cup vodka or light rum optional for an alcoholic version
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup adjust to taste
  • ice ice cubes to chill the punch
  • fruit slices for garnish such as cherries, lemon or lime slices, or pomegranate seeds

Method
 

  1. Pour the cherry juice and pomegranate juice into a large pitcher, creating a dark, rich red base.
  2. Add the simple syrup and stir gently with a mixing spoon until well combined, ensuring the color deepens slightly.
  3. Pour in the vodka or light rum if using, and give the punch a gentle stir to incorporate the spirits evenly.
  4. Fill the pitcher with plenty of ice cubes to chill the mixture and add a frosty shimmer to the drink.
  5. Just before serving, slowly pour the soda water into the pitcher to add fizzy bubbles that will rise and shimmer through the deep crimson liquid.
  6. Garnish the punch with slices of lemon, lime, cherries, or scatter pomegranate seeds on top for a spooky, vibrant presentation.

Notes

Serve immediately with additional garnishes if desired. Adjust sweetness with more simple syrup or add extra spirits for a stronger punch.
